This tour stopped at several locations around SW Manitoba and included three great keynote speakers: Trevor Atchison,  who shared his view on what the cost of education has done for the sustainability of their operation. As well, Glen Duizer, MAFRI’s new provincial veterinarian, spoke on bale grazing to break disease cycles and improve herd health and productivity, and Rick Wright who spoke about the market outlook. 

The tour showcased alfalfa grazing, pasture finishing, leafy spurge, purebred herd and bull development, electric fencing, water systems, solar systems, holistic management, farm-made equipment, and bale grazing plus an electric fencing workshop the first evening.
